                                                  THE BIRKS FAMILY

                                                        OF DUDLEY

I have some photographs from Dudley you might be interested in.

They are sourced from within the Birks family descendants. Primary Dudley births are Samuel Richard 1882 / Enoch Thomas 1884 / Louie Ann 1886 /Priscilla Lucy Martha (Maude) 1888 / Albert Sidney 1890 / Minnie Margaret 1891 /William Ernest 1897. These are children resulting from a Samuel Birks / Sarah Ann Lloyd marriage at 'Top Church'  Dudley, 1880.

Priscilla Lucy Martha Birks born 1888 called herself Maude, and married as such. She married John (known as Jack) Whitehouse in 1913.

The Dudley Policeman (known by Birmingham resident in-laws as 'Dudley Bill') is William Daniels born 1887 He married Louie Ann Birks in 1914.

The man in the suit, MIGHT be John Samuel Birks born 1859, but he was always called Samuel. This is entirely guesswork though. Any ideas anyone?

The photo below is Cornelia Lucy Lloyd born 1865 in Kingswinford, who married Joseph Davies in 1892 at St James Church in Dudley. The children are Florence Amelia Davies 1894 and William Ernest Davies 1896. Can anyone date the photographs from the clothes? Florence Amelia died age 24 in 1918.
