This website is dedicated to submissions, requests and organisations/businesses that are involved with the heritage and preservation of the Black Country. It also provides a source of local information which can be found under 'Black Country Gazette'.

If you have an old photograph to share or want to identify a person or location, please forward the image as a jpeg file to info@bcgfh.co.uk and we will add it to this website. We want this website to evolve the way YOU want it to so please don't be shy and send in your old family photos or anything to do with the history of the Black Country and it will be added to a page specific to you. More info below.

Alternatively, if you want to post a message for information regarding your Family History, please send us an email and we will add your request to 'Black Country Messages'.

For a treasure trove of old photographic images and much more (including a professional research service) please see www.blackcountrygenealogyandfamilyhistory.co.uk

Have you ever wanted to showcase your photographs on the Internet? Do you have a story or memories of the Black Country that you would like to share with the world? Have you considered setting up a website but for various reasons it has not materialised?

If so, we can help you to make this possible. All we ask is that you are the owner of the material you submit or have permission to use it. We will provide you with a webpage for which you choose the title and we will add your content at no charge whatsoever. You can provide additional photos etc at any time and we will update your page. You can choose to show your full name, Christian name only, or if you wish, you may use a pseudonym. There will be no changes made to your written work without your consent and the copyright of all material you submit will remain with you or the owner from whom you have received permission. (Please note that all content must be suitable for public viewing and be connected to the Black Country).

If you are an organisation or business that is involved with the heritage and preservation of the Black Country and would like to add some information to promote your cause, please contact us. The webspace is free -  all we ask is that you provide the content for us to add to your page.

We strongly believe in supporting local Charities and will provide free webspace for the promotion of your cause.

Please note that this is a non-profit making website. It is one of a family of four websites which are all available to view at no charge whatsoever. Do not forget to check out our other four websites because we have thousands of images of the Black Country across all websites, possibly the largest private collection of Black Country images online. These encompass over 600 old postcards, memorabilia and a treasure trove of images which evoke memories of the past. Additionally, there are over 2500 photographic images of churches and headstones. All are resources for anyone researching their family history and who may have ancestors who died in the Black Country. (The postcard images are scanned from ORIGINAL old postcards, not scanned images from books or another secondary source).

The four websites have been online for less than 6 years but we have already received over 75000 visits across all websites in this very short period of time. Each of the websites rank highly in Google.

A big 'Thank You' for visiting our websites which we hope you find informative and enjoyable.

We would also like to say a special 'Thank You' to everyone who has contributed their own material and we look forward to many more contributions.
